Audio Signal Processing and Interpretation REsearch Lab (ASPIRE Lab)

The ASPIRE lab engages primarily in research related to the processing and interpretation of audio-based signals (e.g., music, speech, etc).

Current research areas:

  • Cross-lingual Voice Conversion
  • Emotion/Affective Signal Analysis
  • Objective characterization of music separation
  • Speech-to-Singing synthesis
  • Emotion modeling through speech codecs
  • Language disorders related to brain trauma (Aphasia)
  • Speech disorders (dysarthria, apraxia, etc)
