The ASPIRE lab engages primarily in research related to the processing and interpretation of audio-based signals (e.g., music, speech, etc).

- Cross-lingual Voice Conversion
- Emotion/Affective Signal Analysis
- Objective characterization of music separation
- Speech-to-Singing synthesis
- Emotion modeling through speech codecs
- Language disorders related to brain trauma (Aphasia)
- Speech disorders (dysarthria, apraxia, etc)
